Increase Implementation of AT with the Class Profile Matrix
Friday, October 19, 2007 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
The Class Profile Matrix (CPM) developed by Johns Hopkins University's Center for Technology in Education is a teacher support tool that helps general and special educators integrate the use of AT into the delivery of daily instruction. Basically, the CPM structures data from IEPs into a matrix format, giving teachers an "at-a-glance" profile of individual student needs grouped by types of accommodations, including AT. In a study, it was found to increase the implementation of AT in general education classrooms. This session will demonstrate the CPM and its use and will include video of teachers describing its value.
